Grossmont College Concert Band performs Christmas favorites

(EL CAJON) - The Grossmont College Music Department will present its Concert Band performing in their annual Winter Concert starting at 7:30 on Wednesday, Dec. 8, at the Cuyamaca College Arts Center auditorium, 900 Rancho San Diego Parkway, in El Cajon. The public is invited to attend. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Grossmont College's Concert Band includes 45 members playing different brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. The songs to be performed will include "Emmanuel Variants" by Robert E. Foster; "Greensleeves," arranged by Alfred Reed; "Moorside Suite," by Gustav Holst; "A Christmas Festival" by Leroy Anderson (Joy to the World, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Silent Night Holy Night, Jingle Bells, O Come All Ye Faithful); "A Christmas Intrada" by Alfred Reed.
