If you elect, you may participate in an optional learning activity for a chance to improve your course grade. The points given for successfully completing this assignment are NOT extra credit points.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?

Watch one of the following videos listed below for each of the essays that you decide to write.  You can elect to do up to a maximum of 2 essays only:

"The Earth Revealed:  Wind, Dust, and Deserts"
An educational video by the Annenberg Project
and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting

An educational video by the Annenberg Project
and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting

OR

Then,
write a one page essay for each video you watched that includes the following:
1.  Summarize the major points of the video as they relate to our studies of physical geography and what you have learned throughout the semester.
2.  Describe what you liked and disliked.

WHEN ARE THE ESSAYS DUE?

Essays will NOT be accepted after the beginning of your scheduled final exam. You can submit your essays earlier if you want.  If you decide to email the essay to the instructor, type and save the essay in Microsoft Word and then submit as an attachment to your email.  If you do not receive a confirmation reply email from the instructor, you can assume that your essay/s were not received.  You are responsible for insuring that your emailed essay/s arrive successfully via email and on time.  Late submissions or failed submissions via email that are not successfully resubmitted with confirmation will not be accepted.
