COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course is designed specifically to help you:

  2. Develop critical thinking and reading skills in response to various forms of writing.
  3. Write prose that conforms to the conventions of English spelling, punctuation and grammar.
  4. Learn to revise, edit, and improve your own writing. To meet these goals, my English 110 course is primarily an English writing workshop with an emphasis on the relationship between reading and writing, the process of writing and revision, and the importance of students as their own best teachers and critics.
