The A.R.C. provides academic adjustments, auxiliary aids, services and/or instruction to qualified students with disabilities in alignment with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Education Code Section 84850, and Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations (5 CCR) Sections 56000-56076.

CALIFORNIA COLLEGE CHANCELLOR’S OFFICE LEGAL OPINION M 03-09 states that SECTION 508, WORKFORCE INVESTMENT ACT OF 1998 applies to California Community Colleges. This means that information technology developed, purchased, or licensed by California Community Colleges must comply with SECTION 508 standards.
