Our mission is to prepare students for transfer to a four-year institution OR for career preparation in a vocational or professional field.
Step 1a: Online Orientation
- If you haven't done so already, complete online orientation

Step 1b: Online Advising
Step 1a and 1b are tied together however they can be completed separately
- In this step, you will create an Abbreviated Education Plan

(You will share these results with a counselor to create a comprehensive academic plan - Step 4)
Step 2: Assessment/Placement
If you completed the Assessment Questionnaire (AQ) AND have taken the placement test, the college will use the higher placement of the two
Step 3: View Assessment Results
If you need help understanding your placement results, please see a counselor
Step 4: Create an Academic Plan
- Speak with a counselor for help creating a comprehensive academic plan
Step 5: Review Math Pathways
- Review Math Pathways to determine a course sequence that aligns with your educational goals

Step 6: Register for Classes
- Always check course prerequisites when planning your schedule of classes
(View the Prerequisite Clearance list)
- If you think you've met the prerequisite requirement though another college, plan to submit your prerequisite clearance form well in advance
- If you are registering for a Math course that is tied to a companion course, allow time in your schedule to take both classes simultaneously
