  • Canvas/Online Learning: Visit the Grossmont Canvas website to learn more about Online Learning and Canvas for Faculty.

  • Cascade (Content Management System): Edit or create a faculty or department website by accessing Cascade (user name and password are the same as your district account), the districtwide content management system (CMS). For training and access to Cascade, contact Deanna Thompson, Web and Technology Support Specialist, at deanna.thompson@gcccd.edu.   • Classified Senate: Classified Senate advocates the value and contributions of classified staff to the college learning environment and success of students at GCCCD. Classified Senate also promotes the participation of classified staff in shared governance at the local state levels.

  • Copyright and PlagiarismThis site is designed to provide you with information about copyright and plagiarism - for both faculty and students. You will also find links to legal materials and other websites, useful forms, and charts to help you decide whether to copy or not to copy.

  • Educational Master PlanThe Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District Educational Master Plan is a long-range, comprehensive document that will serve as the District's blueprint for the next decade. The Educational Master Plan is intended to guide institutional and program development at both the college and district levels.

  • Grant Development ProcessThe purpose of the Grant Development Process is to accurately track potential grant activity, assist with the research of new grants, assist with writing grants, and to help with the technical aspects of submitting grant applications.

  • Library: Services include research assistance (in-person and 24/7 online reference chat service); Library databases with full-text journals, magazines, newspapers, eBooks and eReference books; Library instructionInterLibrary LoanE-Chat Café; research guides; book and media checkout; group study rooms with computers and webcams; computers with Internet and Microsoft Office Suite, and textbooks on Reserves, among others.

  • The LoopThe Loop is Grossmont College's staff bulletin. It is published by e-mail every Thursday that classes are in session. Hard copies are available in the foyer of the Business/Communications office. 

    Only staff members can place an item in the Loop; it is not open to students or outside parties. Notices may be run up to four times a semester. President's Cabinet has ruled that business ads may not be placed in the Loop. Items must be received in the Instructional Operations Office, room 109, by noon, the Tuesday before the publication date. Forms are available in the Instructional Operations Office or you may submit items by e-mail to barbara.prilaman@gcccd.edu. Carefully proof all material that is submitted by e-mail. 

    Access to The Loop is password-protected since since the information posted is for our District community and not the community at large. Below are instructions for accessing the site.

    Enter the following when prompted:
    user name: firstname(dot)lastname
    password: the same as what you use to log in to your computer and for accessing your campus email

  • Participatory Governance: information about the College Council and its committees, including committee membership and contact information, meeting schedules, agendas and minutes; the "Governance and Decision-Making Handbook;" and the participatory governance process.

  • Printing and DuplicatingServices, procedures and policies are listed to help you get your materials printed or duplicated.

  • Professional Development: provides links to Professional Development programs, events, and activities offered by the Faculty/Staff Committee. You will also find the procedures and forms necessary to finish your professional development activity requirements.

  • Student Learning Outcomes: provides information to faculty and staff on designing and using student learning outcomes (SLO's). Student learning outcomes are measured learning objectives as defined by faculty and staff members. Student learning outcomes are written statements that represent student learning goals at the college, departmental, and course levels.

  • Strategic Plan: The 2010 - 2016 Grossmont College Strategic Plan defines the direction and goals that the college intends to pursue through 2016 in response to the changing needs of San Diego's East County. 

  • Technology PlanThe Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District 2012 - 2017 Technology Plan is based upon the Educational Master Plan. Its primary focus is to provide access to education systems, services and training to the student, faculty and staff communities, and to provide quality administrative, learning and teaching technologies to meet the mission of the colleges. 

  • TracDat: used at Grossmont College to submit outcome assessment/planning results and develop annual planning activities.

  • Website Accessibility: Grossmont College's Accessibility website presents a holistic approach to website design through universal design, a holistic approach to creating inclusive online environments. The website also focuses on several issues that ensure Grossmont College's compliance to state and federal guidelines regarding access to information, print media, multimedia and web access.

  • Website Style Guide: The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District provides a comprehensive website style guide that provides districtwide consistency is providing information to students, faculty, staff and the community. It also serves as a collection of rules, guidelines, words and writing challenges with which people often wrestle, as well as terms and labels specific to the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District.
