The completion of IGETC allows California Community college students to satisfy the lower division general education requirements for a CSU or UC.
The CSU General Education Breadth (CSU GE Breadth) allows California Community College transfer students to fulfill lower-division general education requirements for any CSU campus prior to transfer. This curriculum provides an alternative to the IGETC requirements and can be a good option if a student knows they want to transfer to a CSU.
